近期,广州地理研究所黄光庆、宗永强团队在第四纪学、地貌学以及海洋地质学权威期刊Quaternary Science Reviews(三年平均IF =4.591,中科院地学1区top期刊)、Earth Surface Processes and Landforms(三年平均IF =3.672,中科院地学2区)、Marine Geology(三年平均IF =3.095,中科院地学2区)分别发表重要研究成果。
该成果关注杭州湾海平面变化、珠江三角洲沉积模式以及华南海岸事件性沉积等研究,取得重要科学发现:一是杭州湾地区全新世相对海平面变化对海岸冰川-水均衡调整效应的响应机制;二是珠三角全新世沉积演变过程存在3种区域模式;三是南海北部近一千年来的台风活动规律,警示未来全球变暖将提高华南沿岸的强台风风险。
该研究团队近年来在华南及东南亚海岸带开展了大量地质学调查和研究工作,在海平面变化、海岸环境变化和三角洲沉积演变等领域取得一系列重要发现,研究成果陆续发表在国内外著名刊物上。
